Next up on our
Parks & Rec Month highlights, one of
Fuquay-Varina’s oldest parks, Falcon Park, sits on 5 acres of multi-purpose land. Back in the day, the population was little so there were no family gathering places which meant no place for kids to gather outside and play. Town residents took action in the 1950’s by organizing and raising enough money to fund the towns first park, Falcon Park, opening in 1953! Since opening, Falcon Park has received numerous updates including the most recent a few years back which gave much-needed new life to the playground and the buildings at Falcon Park.
