π Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Education Park, 301 Wagstaff Road
Prepare for a scary good time during one of Southern Wake Countyβs favorite Halloween traditions! The approximately quarter-mile trail travels through rocky terrain, hills, bridges, and the dark woods of Carroll Howard Johnson Park.
β° 5:00 – 6:00 PM
The Family Trail is a lighthearted walk held before dark. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and interact with the friendly characters they meet along the way.
β° 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Once the sun goes down, the trail transforms into a terrifying walk through the woods with unexpected surprises around every turn. Full Fright is not recommended for children younger than 10. Children ages 10 – 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
Attendees should park at South Park Community Center, located at 820 S. Main Street, and take the event shuttle to the trail. Guests may also walk the Jeff Wells Trail from South Park, but flashlights are strongly recommended.

No tricks – just plenty of treats!
Bring your little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes downtown to collect candy from nearly 100 participating businesses and organizations. Look for the official βTrick-or-Treat Hereβ posters displayed at participating locations throughout both downtown districts.
This free annual event is organized by the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association.

Do you dare to walk the trail?
Fright Night returns with two different experiences for Halloween lovers of all ages. From 4:00 – 6:00 PM, younger visitors can enjoy a kid-friendly trail along with games and activities. Once the sun goes down, the full Fright Night Haunted Trail begins around 7:00 PM, with the final tour starting at 10:00 PM.
Food, cotton candy, and additional treats will also be available throughout the evening.
The event is hosted by Scout Troop 75 and the Fuquay-Varina High School Interact Club, with proceeds supporting hurricane-relief efforts in Western North Carolina.

The afternoon also includes a vendor market, local businesses, talented artisans, and community organizations. Barbecue tasting tickets are required if you want to sample and judge the competition entries.

Following the Town Tree Lighting, Fuquay Mineral Spring Park will sparkle with holiday lights for evening self-guided visits through early January. Itβs a beautiful setting for a family walk, festive photos, or a quiet moment during the busiest time of year.
