Fuquay-Varina’s Rising Star: Sustainable Style with Coastal Cool

Right here in Fuquay, a young entrepreneur is making waves (pun intended) in the world of sustainable fashion. Holden Bierman, a sophomore at Fuquay-Varina High School, is the mastermind behind Coastal Cool.   Holden isn’t your average teenager. Forget about video games; this go-getter has been dreaming of business ventures since a young age! The brand’s centerpiece? A line of stunning beach and swimwear, all crafted from a surprising source: recycled plastic bottles.   Imagine this: you slip into a Coastal Cool bikini or boardshorts, feeling confident and comfortable. But that’s not all. With every purchase, you’re taking a stand for our planet. Coastal Cool isn’t just about looking good, it’s about feeling good knowing you’re part of the solution.   But wait, there’s more! The designs themselves capture the essence of island life. Think bright, tropical prints that transport you to a palm-fringed paradise. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or soaking up the sun on the Carolina coast, Coastal Cool’s laid-back aesthetic is perfect for embracing your inner beach bum.   Holden started by designing everything himself, but as Coastal Cool has grown, he’s learned the value of collaboration. The brand now offers a wider range of styles, ensuring there’s something for everyone who wants to join the sustainable fashion movement.   Check out their 2024 styles HERE!
