The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m., weather permitting, and will last about 20 minutes. (Please do not bring your own fireworks to the celebration, including sparklers.)

Parking is available at Sugg Farm. Following the fireworks, both lanes of Grigsby flow out of Sugg Farm.

Don’t drink and drive! Law enforcement agencies throughout the state will be focused on activities to address impaired drivers on state and local roadways. Be smart. Plan ahead and have a sober driver.

I hope you’ll join us in celebrating Independence Day early by attending the Fuquay-Varina Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3rd. Festivities will take place at South Park near the Community Center in Fuquay-Varina. This event includes a diverse group of food vendors, live music, free inflatable rides, and one of the best fireworks displays around!
*Gates open at 6 pm with fireworks beginning shortly after sundown at around 9:15 pm, weather permitting.
*Handicap parking is available at the community center with a placard. (Other parking where pemitted.)
*The ever popular Spare Change will go live at 6:30 pm!
A few things to know before you go:
Coolers are allowed, but this is an alcohol free event!
No pets of any kind allowed
No bikes or skateboards
Spare Change plays at 6:30 pm
Free kids rides
Splash Pad open 6 to sundown

Due to preparations for the event:
The Community Center will close at 12 pm.
The Splash Pad will be closed (except during the event).
The Jeff Wells Trail will be closed.
Town government facilities will be closed on Thur., July 4 to celebrate Independence Day.
Garbage collection will be unaffected. Please place carts curbside as usual.
