North Carolina State Fair

Growing up in North Carolina is a unique and wonderful experience, ask anyone. From the Blue Ridge Mountains to the crystal coast beaches you have the best of both worlds. Right in the middle of it all is the State capital, Raleigh which is just outside of our town of Fuquay-Varina.

One thing North Carolina is big on is tradition. Every year the North Carolina State Fair is held in Raleigh at the Fairgrounds. Crowds gather at the fair grounds to enjoy rides, food, free entertainment, and plenty more. Last year was an unprecedented time for everyone and unfortunately the State Fair could not be held as usual. They did find a way to continue the tradition by offering a small variety of the usual fair food vendors but it was nothing like we are used to. This year the N.C. State Fair is back and better than ever!

 

The 2021 N.C. State Fair will be held from Oct. 14 – Oct. 24, tickets are on sale now, click here! Whether you are a thrill seeker or a teacup rider or just enjoy eating copious amounts of food it is a fun-for-all-ages event! Cleveland Draft House

EXCITING NEWS FOLKS! Cleveland Draft House off of E. Broad Street will be opening September 27th! If you have been following along since they announced Cleveland Draft House some time ago you know it has been a long wait but we are finally in the home stretch! The restaurant chain currently has two other locations located in Clayton and Garner, NC. If you have had the pleasure of stopping by one of their 2 other locations before, you know we are in for a treat here in Fuquay Varina. Specializing in Burgers, Ribs, and pretty much all American Cuisine you are sure to find a tasty bite to eat to curve your hunger. Cleveland Draft House is a full service restaurant and Bar with 50 beers on draft. The atmosphere offers the best of both worlds. Assaggio’s Pizzeria and Ristorante

We are halfway through the year and Independence Day is already here! 2021 has been a wild ride and we are happy to see Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs consistently growing with new developments and more people moving to town. Fuquay Recreation Park For All

Love the outdoors? Are you and your family excited to get out this summer after the long quarantine days? The perfect place is closer than you think.

Fuquay has 20 recreation parks and 500 acres of land to be explored. You can even pick the park that best suits you and your family! Each park is unique with its own mix of possible outdoor activities. Some parks include picnic shelters, parks, baseball/softball fields, and/or tennis courts.

Hilltop Needmore Town Park & Preserve is one of the best parks you can go to for riding your bike or for going on walks. They have numerous trails and open from sunrise to sunset. You can find a variety of plants as well as animals through the trails making it a great spot for photography. Just be careful not to get too close!

It’s a place to relax, exercise and just be able to enjoy. Some residents come together at the park to have yoga sessions or the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association will hold events at the park.
