Being a homeowner is one of the most rewarding feelings however, at times being a homeowner can be slightly tricky. How do you know when it’s time to call a licensed professional? Here are some of the top signs your HVAC needs servicing

  • Your system is not cooling your home effectively or efficiently.
  • Your system is making unusual noises (high pitched squealing, banging, clicking, buzzing, hissing, rattling, or other unusually loud sounds).
  • Your system is leaking water (or some other substance).
  • Your system is tripping the circuit breaker

You can easily set up an appointment with B&J Heating and Air Services by filling out their online contact form, calling their one of TWO lines to speak with someone about getting on schedule, or send them an over an email and they will reach out to you. Be sure you have all of your information regarding your HVAC system ready and available for use (system brand, year, warranty if applicable) for a more speedy scheduling!

“I personally can say that B&J Heating and Air Services exceeded by expectations. I have been experiencing issues with cooling my home the past couple of summers however this summer it was clear I needed a professional to pinpoint the issues. I had one business come out assess the problem, thinking it was a simple fix I followed instructions and still, NO cold air coming from my vents. A trusted source mentioned I need to reach out to B&J Heating & Air to help me and sure enough, Ben came out about 2 hours after our first call and was able to figure the problem and offered solutions and would be back that following Monday (SLOW freon leak causing NO cold air and a sky rocketing bill). Once the weekend passed Ben was back with a fix to my problem and I had my unit back up and running in no time and all at a great price! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEN AND HIS TEAM AT B&J Heating and Air.” -Haylee Kinlaw (Front Porch Realty                                                                         Marketing Manager)

2023 Spring Sellers Market Outlook

If You’re Thinking of Selling Your Home, Spring is the Perfect Time

Traditionally we have all heard; “Wait until the Spring to put your home on the market!” While Spring is a fine time to sell your home, what I have learned while selling homes in Fuquay-Varina for the last 30 years is there really isn’t a “bad” time to sell your home in the Triangle area of North Carolina!
Yes, Spring brings the school-minded families out hoping to get all settled in a new home before school starts but we all know Wake county doesn’t have a “traditional school calendar” and hasn’t for a very long time. Of course, LOTS of our transplants that are looking for homes in our area are coming from areas of the country where they only know the traditional school calendar of September to May. So, Spring makes a perfect time to sell your home.
Spring also entices us all to do our “Spring Cleaning” …does anyone else remember washing walls with a bucket and sponge and windows inside and out with a vinegar bottle and newspaper on their Spring Break?? After a good cleaning out from our winter months, putting your home on the market to sell is a great idea!
I have seen over the years that if someone is looking for a home in the winter months, they “have” to move and are very serious. We don’t have to worry, most years anyway, about moving in the snow or bitter cold but we know our “transplants” do! I have always told my owners that were thinking of putting their home on the market in the fall or winter but they want to “wait until Spring”, why wait until you have lots of competition out there? May as well sell when no one else is! It’s all about supply and demand!
Speaking of supply and demand, we are STILL seeing a shortage of homes in Fuquay-Varina and the surrounding areas. We just put a home on the market last Friday afternoon and received multiple offers before the weekend was up! Yes, the mortgage interest rates are going up, but rising rates are not stopping buyers needing a home in our area! Buyers know they can always refinance their home loans when the rates head downward again.
