K’nB’s Marketplace is a treasure trunk of wonders! With around 40 unique vendors in their 5,000 sq. ft. store, there is tons to see! From antique Christmas décor to vintage blankets there is something for everyone! As everyone knows it is indeed the most wonderful time of the year and K’nB’s Marketplace surely does not disappoint with their Holiday Displays!

Opened for about 11 years, Kim and her daddy Bobby have turned a small town building into a thrifting paradise! When they first bought the building it took over 9 months of renovations to finally open their first consignment store “K’nBs Brew and Browse”. Four years later we now have “K’nBs Marketplace” which then turned into housing vendors of all types.

Be sure to stop into K’nB’s Marketplace and shop around for a while and enjoy coffee from their coffee bar. They are open Tuesday – Friday 10am – 5pm and Saturday 10am – 4pm. Check out their upcoming events here! Want to become a vendor at K’nBs Marketplace? Follow this link to sign up!

Discovered in 1858 by two farmers Davey Crocket Fuquay and Stephen Fuquay while plowing their father’s farm, now a historic landmark in Fuquay-Varina. The Mineral Spring was believed to have healing powers. Travelers came from all over to indulge in the mineral waters. This historic Mineral Spring was believed to cure kidney and intestinal ailments.

Today locals and visitors still visit The Mineral Spring and it’s beauty. You will find a gazebo with easy access down to The Mineral Spring (be careful not to slip!). Picnic tables surround The Mineral Spring making it a lovely spot for an afternoon picnic!

It is a peaceful place to find yourself strolling through the park, enjoying nature, listening to the trickle of the spring fountain. We highly recommend making this a stop if you have not yet taken the time to visit.

“Front Porch Give Back, A Community of Giving Back”

We have spent a lot of hard work on making this dream turn into reality here at Front Porch Realty. Front Porch Give Back, once just an amazing idea in Laura’s mind, once just a bunch of boxes filled with unused household supplies, once just a basement to store supplies for the business…now a place for those in need to come shop free of charge for household items.

What can you donate? Kitchen tables & chairs, coffee tables & end tables, working lamps, dressers & nightstands, small working kitchen appliances (toasters, coffee pots, microwaves, blenders, etc.), dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, glasses, gift cards, light bulbs, cleaning supplies.

Where can you donate? You may drop off at our office anytime during business hours; Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm located at 604 N. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC.

I asked Laura Moody a few questions regarding Front Porch Give Back –
1. Where did the idea come from?

“I have always wanted to “give-back” to the youth of my community as I am an adoptee myself.  My twin brother and I (as well as our older adopted brother) could have easily grown up in foster care if we had not been adopted into a loving home.  When young adults age out of our Wake county foster care system they are set up in an apartment and given only a bed and an alarm clock.

We wanted a way to be able to connect the unwanted household items of our sellers with the needs of our community’s young adults and families.  Our recipients are by referral only from our local schools, churches and anyone else wanting to help.”

2. What is a long term goal with FPGB?
“My long term goal is to keep a fully stocked office basement full of furniture and household goods so that anyone that needs help can receive it.  I would also love to have it stocked with basic cleaning supplies and other household needs a lot of us take for granted;  new sheet sets/towels, batteries, lightbulbs, flashlights, etc.”
3. How are you getting the word out?
“We are getting the word out with social media but would also love to be able to put our brochure out at other local Fuquay-Varina businesses.  We do want donors to realize we are not a “thrift shop”, we are only asking for what is listed in our post.  Recipients “shop” our household goods free of charge.”
4. Anything extra we should know about Front Porch Give Back?
“Drop off at our office Monday through Friday from 9am – 5pm!”
